![]() ![]() I'm being told that the Hive system effectively acts the same as a mechanical timeswitch, ie all both do is simply tell the boiler 'ON' or 'OFF'. Thoughts please? Could it be related to the fact the scheduling app only permits Frost Protection (ie changing the target temperature to 7.5 deg) during 'heating off' phases, as opposed to going 'completely off'? ![]() I'm not accepting that explanation - this issue has only happened since the Hive system was installed (furthermore it took the BG engineers two visits to get the wiring right so I'm less than confident!). I've read elsewhere about this happening, with the 'official' response suggesting that a CH valve must be faulty and needs replacing. This never happened before the Hive installation. I had a Hive CH/HW system installed by British Gas this week it's working OK except that whenever the heating is scheduled to be off (eg overnight), although the boiler stops firing, its (integral) pump continues to run, ie it's now running 24/7. ![]()
